Raúl Eugenio was born in 1886.  Raúl Eugenio's father was Ernesto Pedro Frías Nin and his mother was María Illa Castro.  His paternal grandparents were Emiliano Domingo Frías Avila and Leopoldina Nin Reyes. He had three brothers and a sister, named Ernesto, Julio Francisco, Isabel and María Elena.  He was the youngest of the five children.  He died at the age of 38 in 1924.
