Zélia was born in 1872.  Zélia's father was José Miguel Frías Molina and her mother is Rosaura Peña.  Her paternal grandfather was Félix Ignacio Frías Araujo and her paternal grandmother is Luisa Maria Molina López. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Félix J., Luis, José Miguel, María Adelaida and Carolina.  She died at the age of 87 in 1959.
