Angél María was born in 1864.  Angél María's father was José Miguel Benigno Frías Fernandez de Còrdova and his mother was Juana Manuela Zárraga Chávez.  His paternal grandfather was José Benigno Frías Araujo and his paternal grandmother is Felipa Fernandez de Còrdova y Mendez Melo. He had six brothers and seven sisters, named Carlos, Miguel, Samuel, José Maria, Manuel Jesús, Casto, Juana Manuela, María Adriana, María Luisa, Martina Liboria, Trinidad Josefina, María Rosario and Manuela Matilde.  He was the thirteenth oldest of the fourteen children.  He died at the age of 61 in 1925.
